Amore is a great neighborhood staple. People here are always super friendly, food is made fast, and always consistent. I wish it were a little better than it is but it's just your standard NY pizza joint. Overall great and we come here all and time. Also, the fastest delivery around too.
Best Grandma pie, and most "Brooklyn" tasting pizza around here. I grew up in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn and their pizza reminds me of Nino's on Ave P and Armondo's on East 2nd Street. The rest of the places make their crust too thick. Little Vincent's in Huntington used to be the "joint", but not anymore, went downhill a bit.
I really really like the grandma pie. It was really delicious. Sauce, crust, and flavor is on point. 8.2 regular pizza 7.2. My local spot for pizza.
So glad we opted for this tiny hidden gem! You couldn't find more down home, authentic Italian cuisine if you hoped a plane. Save the trip and travel to Carlstadt in NJ. no fuss, no muss, like it's fresh out of Grandma's kitchen. What you'd expect of her Sunday sauce topped the Sicilian style "Grandma" pizza, complete with fresh mozzarella, torn fresh basil leaves and a perfect crisp & tasty crust. We couldn't stop without trying owner Johnny's award winning "best meatball" which did not disappoint. Wonderfully accompanied by a touch of fresh ricotta, we had to take a couple to go home for mom. Johnny and friends entertained us with some friendly chit chat; it felt like you were stopping at a cousin's for Sunday dinner. We'll be back, and likely with a bigger cooler to take advantage of a few extras to travel back upstate with us. We look forward to our next visit! Thanks for the memorable meal and tasty to go! I've been eating here since I was a kid. They have very good food specially pizza the service is wonderful we are is great. It is so clean in there. They always decorate beautifully and I love how they too heart pizza for Valentine's Day. So cool very accommodating, especially to people who have gluten allergies, definitely recommend it
